Livinia is a Ph.D. student in Educational Policy and Leadership at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She is interested in the intersection between educational policy and the inclusion of marginalized girls and women’s’ educational pursuits in rural areas. This was inspired by the community volunteering work she did as an undergraduate student at African Bible College in Lilongwe, Malawi. She got her master’s degree from Tsinghua University, in Beijing China where she lived and worked as a language instructor in an educational institution for several years. Livinia is a mother of two boys and a wife to a loving husband. In her free time, she enjoys reading fiction books, taking short walks with her family, and watching Korean Drama.
